The Supra83 G grind-by-weight Grinder

The grind-by-weight capabilities of the new G models add to the existing portafilter-recognition feature and instant-tare feature built into the Supra line. The features aim for precision and accuracy while maintaining speed in high-volume cafe environments, according to the company. 

“It gives the pros of weight technology without slowing down service,” Macap Marketing Manager Eleonora Bardoni told DCN, adding the claim that the line has the “fastest recognition of portafilter on the market.”

A “Smart Dose Recognition” system in the G models lets users program up to five different doses. The machine dispenses automatically into portafilters that are identified by their weight when empty. 

The Supra83 G are otherwise identical to the non-G model, they feature 83-millimeter flat burrs spun at 1,250 RPM by 700-watt motor, respectively.
